UNI gathers, composes and distributes one-minute video and text news reports. UNI separates news reporting from opinion and analysis and has developed a successful anchored format designed around consumer's increasingly digital, social and mobile lives.
UNI currently has 30 worldwide employees with City Desks in New York City, Washington D.C., Manila and Tokyo. Our company is in final preparations of moving our global headquarters to Nashville and then begin scaling up to several hundred employees over a 24 month period. We are hiring 4 Video Editors in May 2018.
Who we are looking for
A talented and reliable video editor to help compose our fair use one-minute news reports. We are looking for someone who is fast and efficient and can help on more creative projects when needed. Our videos rely heavily on motion graphics, so experience working with motion graphics and proficiency in graphic design are key skills that we look for in an ideal candidate.
Researching and gathering B-roll for national/international reports.
Maintaining organized B-roll library/media workflow.
Editing video clips and motion graphics templates into effective, attractive video news reports.
Helping with other video projects as needed.
Basic newsroom cleanliness and upkeep.
Undergraduate degree in journalism (prefer focus on video/multimedia) from an accredited university.
Minimum 1-year relevant experience in deadline-driven video production.
Significant working experience in Final Cut Pro X, Apple Motion, and Photoshop.
Strong graphic design sense.
Experience behind a camera and knowledge of lighting and sound design a plus.
Have good interpersonal skills. Be a dependable, quick thinker with an eye for detail.
Be creative with a positive attitude and a motivated team player.
Compensation: Starting at $11.50 per hour, with review after 90-days. Lunch is provided daily.
